Installing Webmin 1.630 on Ubuntu 13.04 or 13.10 is more-or-less the same process as installing Webmin on Ubuntu 12.04.
Of course I’m assuming your Ubuntu server is up-to-date, just download the Webmin 1.630 RPM package:
nmino@ubuntuserver:~$ wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin_1.630_all.deb
And run the installer:
nmino@ubuntuserver:~$ sudo dpkg -i webmin_1.630_all.deb
If the installer ends while notifying of unresolved dependencies, simply use aptitude to install the package and all dependencies:
nmino@ubuntuserver:~$ sudo apt-get -f install
That’s it. Browse to https://your-server:10000 where your-server is the hostname or IP Address of your Ubuntu server and login with the first user account.
Enjoyed the article and it helped me install webmin quiet easily.
sudo dpgk -i webmin_1.630_all.deb – you have a typo i the article, should be “dpkg” insetad of “dpgk”
Keep writing !
Thanks for the heads-up. I clearly don’t proof-read my posts well enough. 🙂
